CORPORATE GOALS AND OBJECTIVES
DIRECTORATE OF ICT AND DATA MANAGEMENT
The Directorate of ICT and Data Management are responsible for the Authority’s mandate in them areas of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) and Data Management (DM).
The Directorates’ has the following corporate goals:
1) Ensure efficient management of data
Under this goal, the Directorate’s strategic objectives are:
- a) To have a robust legislation on data management and ensure that the necessary policies, strategies, standards and procedures for data management are developed and implemented.
- b) To ensure Quality Control, maintenance and timely dissemination of data and information to stakeholders
- c) To develop a robust data centre
- d) To ensure the necessary data management infrastructure is in place and well maintained
2) Development of ICT Systems
Under this goal, the Directorate’s strategic objectives are:
- a) To implement international Good practice of management of IT Services by establishing ICT Governance frameworks (Polices, Strategy, Procedures and
Guidelines)
- b) To ensure system reliability
- c) To ensure system availability
3) ICT Infrastructure and equipment
Under this goal, the Directorate’s strategic objectives are:
- a) To design an effective ICT Communication Infrastructure
- b) To procure and maintain reliable and durable IT Equipment
- c) To ensure power availability and reliability
- d) Develop Strategy and plan for maintenance of ICT equipment and specialized software
4) ICT Security
Under this goal, the Directorate’s strategic objectives are:
- a) To manage identity and access
- b) To develop network and system security architecture
- c) To develop ICT security awareness training
